Pray, Uncaged Adventures

hitting the home stretch to this Uncaged Adventure

Today and tomorrow we will be visiting a juvenile girls prison. This door opened through our friend, Aimee Gordon. Aimee and her family are missionaries through Sports and Cultural Exchange International. She's a former dancer and also teaches for Ballet Adorad.

The grand finale of this Uncaged Adventure is on Saturday. We're pretty pumped about bringing the dance community together with this collaborative show.

hola Panama!

Today we're conducting a workshop hosted by Studio 9!

a few months after we scheduled this workshop, we realized that there is a big dance competition taking place in the city simultaneously. We're hoping this will bring in a lot of students for the workshop.

This week, we'll continue to teach at Ballet Adorad as well as the local pre professionals at Escuela de Danzas Teresa Mann. On Wednesday, we're visiting another orphanage–Malambo–as well as visiting a local youth group.

Prayer Point{e}:
(pray as you feel led but here are a few specifics)
  • continued creativity and bonding among the team
  • the ballet students we interact with. May they discover freedom in the confidence of their identity and experience the love of Jesus.
  • The people behind the scenes helping make everything happen. Lucyann, Ana Carolina, Bill–to name a few.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another in good deeds…
~Hebrews 10:23,24

And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known the mystery of the gospel,…that I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.
~Ephesians 6:19,20

here we goooo!!

We're off! After 10 days of choreographing and team building, we're on our way to Panama.

Here's what we're up to for the next few days:

June 11: after getting settled in, we'll start off by teaching at Ballet Adorad —  we were introduced to Paola and Genesis on our first adventure and are grateful for the way they are training the next generation of Jesus following artists.

June 12: we will doing a demonstration at Metro Amigo Orphanage – Heart's Cry Children's Ministry has graciously set up visits with several orphanages. Metro Amigo is one of the poorer of the 53 orphanages in Panama as well as one of the only ones that takes care of older children.

June 13: we will be doing an open air performance at Cinta Costera to bring awareness to the work of Heart's Cry and promote our upcoming show at Teatro Inida.

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, teaching one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father
~Colossians 3:12-17

Prayer Point{e}:
(pray as you feel led but here are a few specifics)
  • Unity, sensitivity and courage over the Bluebird: uncaged team
  • the hearts of the children at Metro Amigo. May they know they are loved by Abba and created for a purpose.
  • Jesus would be made famous at Cinta Costera.

Panama update #3

We've hit the home stretch. Our team is a little tired but we're determined to finish strong.

This weekend is pretty eventful. Here's what's on the agenda:

-An open workshop with Ballet Adorad.
-An outdoor performance at Casco Viejo

Prayer points:
  • a decent size turn out of students from around Panama City. Part of the aim of this workshop is to bring unity in the dance community
  • Details for the outdoor performance (flooring, sound, space, etc)
  • Opportunities to share the Jesus story and boldness in those opportunities.
  • Stamina, grace, and patience in our interactions.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms ~1 Peter 4:10

And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ… ~Colossians 4:3

Thanks so much for being on this journey and interceding for us. We are incredibly grateful and encouraged to know there are people behind us. Can't wait to share the stories when we get back. See ya in a few days!

God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it, ‘He throws caution to the winds, giving to the needy in reckless abandon. His right-living, right-giving ways never run out, never wear out. ~2 Cor. 9:8-9 MSG
