New Amy Ray Music video

Rebekah Diaddigo and Imani Joseph (you might recognize her from our White Umbrella film or seen her on stage as dragon in Sterling’s Path) recently got be be a part of Amy Ray‘s newest music video, Chuck Will’s Widow. It was cool because as we were training at Atlanta Ballet, Imani and I would walk past the poster for Shed Your Skin, where the Indigo Girls collaborated with Atlanta Ballet for a concert. Huge thanks to Sozo Bear Films for including us in this project!

Audition Season 2020!

Thinking about all of you making decisions about where you might be tying your pointe shoes this summer and/or next season. My heart is with you all. I know it’s a huge roller coaster of a journey full of courage and unknowns.

If you’re in the midst of audition season, may you dance in the confidence of knowing your worth comes from the One who created you for a specific purpose. May you let Him choreograph your steps on this life adventure.

Remember the Bigger Story.

Keep in mind that every “no” is just confirmation of a path you weren’t supposed to take. TRUST that He knows where He wants to use you to further the Kingdom. I know it’s hard. It’s refining. It’s trading your dreams for His. But know that His dreams never disappoint when you find your delight in Him. Because in Jesus is abundant life.

Have fun and know that I’m praying for you!

Don’t hesitate to reach out here or via DM on insta if you need to talk!

much love,
Rebekah

Master Class with Dale Shields

ADK_0007

We are so excited to host our first monthly master class on Sunday. Our hope is that this series will foster unity and collaboration amongst the Atlanta dance community. We want to create an environment where students can dance alongside pros and we can all learn from + be inspired by one another. Hope to see you there!
Here’s a little more about our guest teacher.

DALE SHIELDS graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts and Butler University before starting her career as a professional dancer. She rose to principal dancer with Indianapolis Ballet Theatre under artistic director George Verdak, and appeared in principal roles of many productions, including Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Gaité Parisienne, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Coppélia, Night Shadow, and The Moor’s Pavane, as well as a great number of original works. She served as Principal Ballet Mistress for Ballet Internationale, where she assisted with the original choreography of several full-length ballets by artistic director Eldar Aliev and worked alongside Irina Kolpakova in staging many well-known classics. Accepting Artistic Director John McFall’s invitation to join Atlanta Ballet as Ballet Mistress gave her the opportunity to assist in mounting many full-length productions and to work with inspiring national and international choreographers.
